This 2023 Lexus IS350 F Sport came into our Kearny Mesa shop with dents on the right quarter panel and dents and scratches on the right rear door. Here's what we did to put it right.
The repair
- Repaired the dents on the right quarter panel. We worked the dents out of the quarter panel around the rear wheel arch and refinished it so the body line flows cleanly again.
- Repaired the dents and scratches on the right rear door. We repaired the door rather than replacing it, then refinished it to match the factory silver.
- Blended the right roof rail. Silver metallic paint is one of the hardest colors to match. Blending means we fade the new color out into the roof rail next to the repaired panels so the change happens gradually and your eye can't find a line, even though the rail itself wasn't damaged.
